Methylpentynol (Methylparafynol, Dormison, Atemorin) is a hypnotic/sedative with anticonvulsant effects. It was previously used for the treatment of insomnia but has been replaced by newer drugs with better safety profiles.^[1]^[2]^[3]^[4]
