Overview

Eric and beallduring was the first to publish a article on describing ATN in detail during world war II. In 1938, Councilman was the first to discover the association between systemic infections and the development of ATN.

  • In 1938, Councilman was the first to discover the association between systemic infections and the development of ATN.[1]
  • In 1941, Eric Bywaters and Beall­­during was the first to publish a landmark article about ATN during the time of world war ii.
  • In 1946, Eric Bywaters and Adolf Marcus Joekes, at the Hammersmith Hospital, London and Michael Darmady in Portsmouth carried out the first haemodialyses in the UK, for patients with AKI following ATN.
