Landmark Events in the Development of Treatment Strategies

  • First successful surgical intervention for aortic dissection was done by Dr. Cooley and Dr. Creech in 1954.[3]

Impact on Cultural History

  • Dr. René Laennec was the first to use the term dissecting aneurysm in 1819.[4]
