Overview
Patients with multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2 usually appear tall with disproportionately elongated extremities. Physical examination of patients with multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2 is usually remarkable for episodic hypertension, thyromegaly, and anxiety.

- Patient may be tall and thin. Patient may have "marfanoid" body build with disproportionately elongated extremities.

The patient had mucosal neuromas on the anterior third of her tongue. Note the bumpy/blubbery lips [1]

On physical examination, she had goiter with large nodule in the right lobe of her thyroid gland.. [1]
Eyes
- Numerous yellowish-white, sessile, painless nodules on the sclera and eyelids
- Dry eyes may be present

- A thrill may be present

- Mental status may be altered
- Anxiety
