You are invited to apply to the WikiDoc Scholar Program. WikiDoc is a collaborative effort by healthcare professionals worldwide to construct a reliable open medical encyclopedia. All qualified applicants will be offered to join as WikiDoc scholars in a remote capacity. There is not currently any research/observership positions available.
Please note the following requirements/terms of our program:
- This experience is as an editor of the encyclopedia with no clinical component.
- No salary or funding is available to cover expenses
- This is a volunteer only position, you are not an employee of WikiDoc in any capacity
- Letters of recommendation and WikiDoc Scholar Certificates will be available for those who contribute and meet the requirements as outlined on the Letter of Recommendation Page
If you would like to formally apply for this program, please download the application below and submit it. In order for your application to be complete, you are required to submit a writing sample and verification of English Proficiency. A writing sample refers to any piece of writing you have personally written. It does not need to be something published in an academic journal. An acceptable writing sample includes: a personal statement, an assignment written for school, or a blog post. The purpose of the writing sample is to help the review committee understand what role you would be best suited for within the textbook development. Verification of English Proficiency refers to test scores from any recognized test (TOEFL, IELTS, Step 2 CS, etc.) or documentation from an academic institution or English language school. Lastly, please send over your CV.
Once we have received your materials, our team will follow up with you. We must have all of your materials submitted in one packet in order for your application to be considered complete and ready for review. If we receive an incomplete packet, we will not review your materials.
