Auditory Testing

Profound (91 dB or more) but rare sensorineural hearing loss which may be either unilateral or bilateral has been associated with mumps infection. Such patients, may be subjected to additional auditory testing.

Lumbar Puncture

  • Approximately 40% patients infected with mumps may be complicated with secondary meningitis.
