The brain of a person with MS often responds less actively to stimulation of the [[optic nerve]] and [[sensory neuron|sensory nerves]]. These brain responses can be examined using [[visual evoked potential]]s (VEPs) and [[Sensory evoked potentials|somatosensory evoked potentials]] (SEPs). Antimyelin antibodies

myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG) and myelin basic protein (MBP) thought to be a predictor of disease progression but some studies denied any relationship between these auto antibodies and disease severity or progression.
