Overview

Barium Swallow X-ray Findings

Eosinophilic esophagitis

  • Barium studies cannot diagnose EoE but are helpful in identifying any underlying anatomical abnormalities such as strictures, rings, etc.[1][2][3]
  • They also help to rule out the other causes of dysphagia.
  • The barium swallow of the esophagus shows multiple rings associated with EoE.
