Overview
Mumps is a clinical diagnosis. Further testing may be required in patients with secondary complications.
Auditory testing
Profound (91 dB or more) but rare sensorineural hearing loss which may be either unilateral or bilateral has been associated with mumps infection. Such patients, may be subjected to additional auditory testing.
