National Cancer Act of 1971

The National Cancer Act of 1971 is a United States federal law enacted in 1971. The act was intended "to amend the Public Health Service Act so as to strengthen the National Cancer Institute of Health in order more effectively to carry out the national effort against cancer".[1] It was signed into law by U.S. President Richard Nixon on December 23, 1971.[2]
