Overview

On ultrasound mastitis may show edema of the fatty tissue, hypoechoic areas in the breast tissue, dilated ducts, fluid collections[1] or irregular hypoechoic masses suspicious for malignancy[2][3] or hypoechoic mass-like lesions.[4]
