Overview
Overview
Patients should be educated and motivated to achieve appropriate target LDL-C and HDL-C goals. Patients who have undergone PCI or CABG derive benefit from cholesterol lowering and deserve special counseling lest they mistakenly believe that revascularization obviates the need for significant lifestyle changes.
To mantain normal levels of LDL-C and HDL-C, patients should be educated about cholesterol lowering drugs and other lifestyle modifications, even if they have undergone PCI or CABG.
