Hepatopulmonary syndrome (HPS) must be differentiated from portopulmonary hypertension (PPH) and hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia (HHT).

Differentiating [disease name] from other diseases on the basis of [symptom 1], [symptom 2], and [symptom 3]

On the basis pulse oximetry, arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis , contrast enhanced echocardiography; 99mTc scan: lung perfusion scintigraphy with technetium 99mTc labeled macro aggregated albumin, chest CT scan , pumonary angiography, and pulmonary function test, hepatopulmonary syndrome (HPS) must be differentiated from portopulmonary hypertension (PPH) and hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia (HHT).
