Overview

Fungal folliculitis (also known as "Majocchi granuloma") is a skin condition characterized by a deep, pustular type of tinea circinata resembling a carbuncle or kerion.[1]:302

Treatment

Antimicrobial Regimen

  • Majocchi's Granuloma
  • Preferred regimen: Terbinafine PO 250mg/day for 2-4 weeks.[2]
  • Alternative regimen: Itraconazole 200mg PO bid for 1 week, per month for 2 months.
