Chest X-Ray

  • Chest radiography in a patient with pulmonary cryptococcosis may demonstrate interstitial infiltrates or pleural effusion and hilar lymphadenopathy.[1]
  • Other less common findings that can be present on chest X-ray in patients with pulmonary cryptococcosis include:[2]
    • Nonspecific segmental pneumonias
    • Cavitation
    • Lymphadenopathy
    • Pleural effusion
    • Generalized miliary disease
