Overview

Surgery is not the first-line treatment option for patients with Goodpasture syndrome. Renal transplantation is usually reserved for patients who present with no circulating anti-glomerular basement antibodies.

Surgery

Renal transplantation can be preformed when anti-glomerular basement membranes are undetectable for 6 months with no signs of pulmonary involvement.
