Laboratory Findings
Electrolyte and Biomarker Studies
A complete blood count (CBC) may show anemia and low platelets. Other blood tests for typhus may show:
- High level of typhus antibodies
- Low level of albumin
- Low sodium level
- Mild kidney failure
- Mildly high liver enzymes
