Tachypnea and dyspnea on exertion that progresses to air hunger at rest
Tachycardia (may be masked in uremia and hypothyroidism)
Pericardial rub
Symptoms of shock (including altered mental status, cold extremities, mottled skin, peripheral cyanosis, and oliguria)
Absolute or relative hypotension
Pulsus paradoxus (↓ SBP of ≥10 mm Hg during inspiration; may be masked in hypotension, pericardial adhesions, right ventricular hypertrophy, aortic regurgitation, and atrial septal defect)
Jugular venous distention (may be masked in hypovolemia)
Absence of y descent in JVP waveform
