N-Methylethanolamine is a toxic flammable corrosive colorless viscous liquid with structural formula Template:MethylTemplate:NitrogenTemplate:Hydrogen(Template:CarbonTemplate:Hydrogen2)2Template:Hydroxyl. It is the biochemical precursor of choline.

With both amine and alcohol functional groups, it is a useful intermediate in the chemical synthesis of various products including polymers and pharmaceuticals.

N-Methylethanolamine can be prepared by the reaction of ethylene oxide with methylamine.
