Mathew Southard Scholars

Each year, WikiDoc selects several individuals as the "Southard Scholars in Medicine" in recognition of their work ethic, their volunteerism, and their commitment to excellence in medical education and clinical research. The award is named after Mathew Southard, a member of the WikiDoc family and the PERFUSE study group who embodied these principles.

2014 Mathew Southard Scholars in Medicine

  • Christopher Popma
This award is given in recognition of Mr. Popma's creation of a free, on line, pill identifier, and the creation of a template system whereby members of the WikiDoc team can add information from FDA labels so that drug information on WikiDoc is both accurate and unbiased.
  • Rim Halaby, M.D.
This award is given in recognition of Dr. Halaby's leadership in creating free, on line, resident survival guides
  • Gerald Chi, M.D.
This award is given in recognition of Dr. Chis's leadership in creating free, on line, resources pertaining to infectious disease
