Greater Baltimore Medical Center, known to many as simply as GBMC, is a hospital located in the Baltimore suburb of Towson, Maryland. Its entrance is on Charles Street, about 1½ miles south of Baltimore Beltway exit 25, and just one block south of Towsontown Boulevard.

GBMC is accessible on public bus lines nos. 11 and 55 operated by the Maryland Transit Administration.


Greater Baltimore Medical Center was created by combining two specialty hospitals of Baltimore city—The Hospital for Women of Maryland and Presbyterian Eye, Ear and Throat Charity Hospital. the services of these two hospitals were relocated to the northern suburb Baltimore, and Greater Baltimore Medical Center started operating in 1965.
