Aporphine is one of a class of quinoline alkaloids with anti-blood clotting and antioxidant activities. Many different analogues of this compound have been purified from plants.

One commonly-used aporphine derivative is apomorphine, which is used to treat Parkinson's disease, erectile dysfunction and sexual arousal disorder.
