Overview
Surgery is the mainstay of treatment for anaplastic thyroid cancer.
Surgery
- Tracheostomy is frequently necessary. If the disease is confined to the local area, which is rare, total thyroidectomy is warranted to reduce symptoms caused by the tumor mass.[1]
