There are no established criteria for the diagnosis of Whipple's disease.

Diagnostic Criteria

There are no established criteria for the diagnosis of Whipple's disease. Diagnosis of Whipple's disease is suspected when patient presents with four cardinal features of Whipple's disease namely weight loss, diarrhea, arthralgia and abdominal pain. However, the diagnosis is considered when other systemic inflammatory diseases causing similar symptoms have been ruled out.[1][2]
