Tuberomammillary nucleus

The tuberomammillary nucleus is a subnucleus of the posterior third of the hypothalamus. It consists of, largely, histaminergic (i.e., neurones releasing histamine) and is involved with the control of arousal, sleep and circadian rhythm.
