Overview
CT scan of the chest is the imaging investigation of choice for sarcomatoid carcinoma of the lung. CT scan is useful in diagnosing the tumor and also to rule out any possible metastasis. CT scan finding of sarcomatoid carcinoma of the lung is similar to CT scan finding of lung cancer. Characteristic findings include ground glass opacity, rounded or spiculated mass, local nodal involvement, and lobar collapse.
