Overview
Allergic colitis is most commonly caused by allergy to cow's milk protein. 20-40% of patients with allergic colitis have allergies to both cow's milk protein and soy protein.
Causes
The most common cause of allergic colitis is cow's milk protein allergy, which accounts for 50% to 65% of reports. Cow's milk protein and soy protein together account for about 75% of the causes.[1][2] Other causes include:
