I am a medical graduate from India. I graduated from Kakatiya Medical College in 2010. I am interested in continuing my further studies in USA. My fields of interest are pulmonology and rheumatology. I have a devoted interest in research, and have recently completed a studentship program in the Indian Council of Medical Research and I have also participated in The Second Asian and Third National Medical Students’ Research Conference and medical research conferences at Kakatiya Medical College. Because of my experiences, I recognize the need for developing more affordable preventive health measures and effective treatments, while making prevention and treatments more available to individuals of all socioeconomic backgrounds. In my home country, financial resources for research are limited and sparse, while the burden of cost for treating the large indigent population is disproportionately high. This is something that I am passionate about, and interested in integrating research and affordable patient care in my everyday practice.
