Christina Sanders, DO is a general surgeon and educator whose areas of expertise include diseases of the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, gallbladder, soft tissue, and hernias. Dr Sanders received her doctorate of osteopathic medicine from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. She was a Intern, Resident and Chief Surgical Resident at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-School of Osteopathic Medicine (UMDNJ-SOM) where she received extensive training using the latest surgical techniques. She is highly trained in advanced minimally invasive procedures. During her residency, she presented at several national meetings on minimally invasive surgical techniques. Dr. Sanders also has experience with obesity surgery and published scientific papers and lectured on the subject. Currently, Dr Sanders practices general surgery in the state of Massachusetts and is an Instructor at Boston University Medical School.
