Overview

A teratocarcinoma or 'germ cell tumour' (GCT) is a malignant tumour containing elements of teratomas and embryonal carcinomas. They can arise from pathogenetically activated oocytes that ultimately give rise to a teratoma or can form from germ cells in the testicles resulting in testicular cancer.
