A Taeniacide is a substance that kills tapeworms. This makes it a class of antihelminthic agent. Natural taeniacides include pumpkin seed, cucumber and pomegranate, while some synthetic taeniacides include diatrizoic acid, praziquantel, bunamidine and niclosamide.
