TAN-1057 A is an organic compound found in the Flexibacter sp. PK-74 bacterium. It, as well as the related compounds TAN-1057 B, TAN-1057 C, and TAN-1057 D, has shown to be an effective antibiotic against methicillin-resistant strains of Staphylococcus aureus that acts through the inhibition of protein biosynthesis.[1]
