Strategic Planning Process

What is WikiDoc?

WikiDoc is an open source, web-based textbook or encyclopedia of medicine co-created by an international community of healthcare professionals. As a result of its worldwide base of authors, WikiDoc is able to combine the broadest base of clinical knowledge with the latest breaking medical news and updates.

Whom is WikiDoc striving to serve?

WikiDoc is intended to be a shared resource for -

  • housestaff (in preparation for morning report);
  • medical students (in preparation for morning rounds);
  • fellows (in preparation for conferences); and
  • nurses and attending physicians (to share and improve upon their fund of general medical knowledge).

WikiDoc will continue to evolve and supplement its professional offerings with patient-level information and clinical guidance.

How does WikiDoc succeed?

WikiDoc succeeds as it -
