Peptic ulcer disease symptoms

The hallmark of Peptic ulcer disease is an epigastric pain mainly (pain relieved by food intake , antacids and pain occurs in between the meals and causes awakening at nights.[1]

A positive history of epigastric pain ,loss of appetite and weight loss are suggestive of peptic ulcer disease .

The most common symptoms of peptic ulcer disease include epigastric pain , nausea ,vomiting,loss of appetite and weight loss.

A positive family history of may be present.
  • Examples:
Less common symptoms of colorectal cancer include constipation and abdominal pain.
