Treatment

The treatment of allergic rhinitis can be divided into four components:[1][2]

  • Patient education on allergen avoidance
  • Pharmacotherapy
  • Allergen-specific immunotherapy in patients uncontrolled with pharmacotherapy
  • Surgery in selected cases
