== Function ==

The removal of [[intron]]s from nuclear pre-[[mRNA]]s occurs on a complex called a [[spliceosome]], which is made up of 4 small nuclear ribonucleoprotein ([[snRNP]]) particles and an undefined number of transiently associated splicing factors.
