Overview
As the course of pneumothorax is very rapid and can easily become complicated, the best way to diagnose pneumothorax is based on clinical findings, including history and physical examination. A CT scan can is the most sensitive test for pneumothorax. Tension pneumothorax is a medical emergency and should be treated promptly after the physical exam.
