Paradote is a combination tablet containing 100 mg methionine and 500 mg paracetamol (i.e. 20% methionine). Methionine is included in order to ensure sufficient levels of glutathione in the liver are maintained to minimize the liver damage caused if a paracetamol overdose is taken.
