Primary Care Topics (For all the leaders)

  • Also please contact other leaders whether the topic is included on their list or not.
  • People who will work on primary care topics will get more credit in their CV.
  • All the leaders should be present in the meeting to give their updates!

Primary care project (For all the leaders and authors)

  • In this project we are going to provide a guideline for a primary care doctor on how to approach a patient with a special complaint (For example chest pain).
  • The author should do a literature search on society guidelines (not family medicine guidelines) and find the most recent one.
  • The template for the page is a resident survival guide:
  • The algorithm can be drawn on a sheet of paper or a PowerPoint slide.
  • Here is a complete example for chest pain

Primary Care Topics (For all the leaders)

  • Here is an example of how to write one resident survival guide:
  • To start this project, please follow these steps:
    • Make a list of the common complaints in primary care related to your topic
    • Assign one or two (or more based on your judgment) scholar to one topic. For example, 2 scholars can work on headache algorithm
    • Guide them to write it according to the aforementioned template.
    • Add their name to the receptive table on this page;
    • Please make sure you do not use a family-medicine-based approach as the reference. The society of your receptive organ system is a more preferable reference for making the final algorithms.
