Overview

Abdominal MRI may be helpful in the diagnosis of jaundice caused by cirrhosis. Findings on MRI suggestive of cirrhosis include recanalized umbilical vein, dilated portal vein and/or splanchnic veins, esophageal varices, collaterals inside abdominal organ, splenomegaly, and ascites.
