The Dietary Supplement Safety and Science Coalition, based in Orem, Utah, was an industry organization that opposed international control of ephedra. In 1999, the group merged with the Ephedra Sub-Committee of the American Herbal Products Association. "The two groups have grown so close in our vision and our goals, it became obvious we could be much more effective speaking with one voice," said Rodney Storms of the AHPA[1].
