Surgery

Surgery is usually only used in children who have not responded to medical therapy.

Surgical techniques include:

  • Endoscopic injection of collagen behind the intra-vesical ureter
  • Ureteric re-implantation
  • Lengthening of the submucosal ureteric tunnel
