Discovery

  • In 1924, Seyderhelm and others were able to produce artificially ahyperchromic anemia in dogs, who hadintestinal stricture and they could relate this anemia to the[[ infection ]of the intestine. So, this is probably the earliest studies to have established absorption defects in blind loop syndrome, caused by infection.
