Overview
Aneurysm was first described by John Hunter in 1880.
Historical perspective
John and William Hunter, Britanian vascular surgeons first described the aneurysm in 1880. In 1967, Gorlin and colleagues reported that a strong suspicion of aneurysm could be obtained in 75% of patients with myocardial infarction.[1]
