Overview

There are no specific changes associated with Chest Xray in Farmer's lung disaease.

There can be reticular linear densities or small nodules.

Chest X-ray

Chest Xray changes can vary from non specific changes in interstitial structures to pulmonary alveolar fibrosis in chronic cases.

  • Reticular linear densities, or small nodules or both.
  • loss of lung volume
  • hyperinflation ( in chronic cases)
  • Stiff lungs-restricted volume in others.
  • Pleural changes can be seen somtimes
  • Hilar adenopathy in rare cases
