Overview
Atrioventricular canal is the combination of the following abnormalities;
- a hole in the wall dividing the heart's upper chambers (atrial septal defect),
- a hole in the wall separating the heart's lower chambers (ventricular septal defect)
- anatomical abnormalities of the tricuspid and mitral valves.
