Cultivated for 18hrs on medium of brain heart infusion (BHI) agar, under a magnification of 125X, this photomicrograph revealed some of the ultrastructural morphology displayed by a number of Gram-positive Actinomyces sp. bacterial microcolonies. This was Strain 1454b, which exhibited the smooth colonial morphology when compared to PHIL 11971 depicting Strain 1454, with the rougher morphology.
