Superdrol is the brand name of an anabolic steroid. Superdrol was distributed by several companies, first Designer Supplements and later licensed to Anabolic Xtreme, and was then discontinued. Superdrol was produced after the prohormone ban of 2004, and became very popular amongst bodybuilders because of its legality and the noticeable effects. The Superdrol name is now back on the market as Superdrol-NG. Superdrol came in both 60 and 90 count bottles. Each pill contained 10mg of Methasterone (2α, 17α-dimethyl-5α-androstane-3-one-17β-ol) a derivative of Dihydrotestosterone. Due to its 17-alpha alkylation, some users have experienced liver toxicity to varying degrees. Due to the fact that Superdrol does not aromatise, estrogen related issues are not usually a concern during a cycle. It also has a very favorable anabolic:androgenic ratio making this drug favorable to those worried about hair loss or prostate issues.

One significant drawback of Superdrol was the way in which it often increased cholesterol levels in users. An increase of 25-50 points in total cholesterol count was not uncommon, even after only one cycle, leading to total count spikes of 250, 300, or more. Because of the short time period of its availability as "Superdrol," it is not known if the product or its generic create a long-term incapability of the body to control its cholesterol levels. Those who have cholesterol counts above 200, or who are concerned about the adverse effects of high cholesterol on their health, are strongly advised to consider this verified side effect before using this product, or other generic brands.
