Furfenorex (Frugalan) is a stimulant drug derived from amphetamine, which was developed in the 1960s and used as an appetite suppressant for the treatment of obesity.^[1] It produces methamphetamine as a metabolite,^[2] and is no longer used, probably due to problems with abuse.
