The Foreskin Coverage Index is a standard for measuring the amount of foreskin which covers the glans penis of an individual adult male. It was developed by Paul Sherriff, a foreskin restorer. The index ranges from coverage index (CI) 1 -10, with 1 for those with very little skin and these include those who were very heavily circumcised. CI 10 on the other hand refers to those with very long foreskins which completely covers the glans whether it is in the flaccid state or erect..

The coverage index is used by foreskin restorers as the basis for evaluating progress in foreskin restoration.
